STRONG BUSINESS
Local businesses provide community personality, places to work and play, necessary services, and economic stability in our communities. Businesses deserve support and advocacy on every level. They need representation from someone who understands the challenges faced on a daily basis as well as a champion for their future success.
As Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce I have a unique view into what business looks like in our area and I pledge to continue to support the businesses that have chosen District 28B as their home.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Our communities in District 28B are rooted in small-town pride, boasting the values of family, education, thriving main streets a hearty dose of Minnesota Nice. It is a priority to uphold the integrity of what's been built over the years while attracting new, innovative businesses to join our area. Economic Development is necessary for the future success of District 28B. By understanding what our communities want and need, economic development can compliment the businesses that are already rooted here. By providing existing and potential businesses with innovative opportunities, we will make our area much stronger economically.
BROADBAND INTERNET
Rural Minnesota will not see opportunities related to economic development, remote schooling, telecommuting, or digital equality until universal broadband is available to all. The discrepancy between rural and metro areas and their ability to work and school from home has never been more clear. Universal broadband needs to become mainstream throughout Minnesota. In 28B we already have an identified process for creating a robust broadband network. As your representative I will use my understanding of the fundamental process for making universal broadband a reality, and together we'll be able to get the job done.
