People not Politics

Hi Friends! I'm Katie Malchow, born and raised Minnesotan. I live in Lindstrom with my husband, Grizzly, and our three kids who all attend school in Chisago Lakes. I'm the Executive Director of the Chisago Lakes Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, a dedicated supporter of our schools, and a long time community advocate.

I'm thrilled to be running for Minnesota State Representative again. There are many opportunities to advocate for positive change throughout our district and I hope you’ll join me in working for the betterment of our wonderful communities.

Now more than ever it's important to trust your elected officials. It's through building relationships and open dialogue that we will be able to find the common ground that is so necessary in society today.

I look forward to meeting you, hearing your ideas for our area, and enacting change that we are all so ready to see implemented.

Here to listen. Here to lead.
Katie

More about Katie Malchow

Katie has been a resident in our area for almost 20 years. As a community member dedicated to positive change, Katie believes that politics exist in order to serve people, not the other way around.
“One shouldn’t do good for their community with the intention of getting elected. One should do good for their community because it’s the right thing to do. In today’s political climate, I believe that this sentiment sets me apart from many who currently hold office.”
~Katie Malchow
Katie has supported our schools not only as a parent in the district but also as a PTO board member. Katie participated in lobbying for our schools for equal funding on behalf of all students living in our communities. She supports and understands the issues facing small businesses as the Executive Director of the Chisago Lakes Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau. Katie has advocated for universal broadband throughout our area and continues to be a resource to those working towards connectivity. Katie is eager to dedicate her time and talents to the citizens of District 28B. She’s not afraid of disagreement, but is concerned that we are on a trajectory of divisive and undignified politics.

Katie is focused on representing all residents in District 28B. Our area is rich in community, and all voices deserve to be heard. We all face unique challenges and life circumstances, but there is so much that unites us all. Katie wants to represent you, your family, and what is important to our communities.
